Signs your roof is ready

Nailed to a higher standard
Nailing is the most critical part of a shingle installation, and it's where cheap roofs fail.
Code asks for four nails per shingle. We put in six. Every premature roof failure we get called to fix traces back to poor nailing, so our crew has zero tolerance for high nails or blow-throughs. We photo-document roofs at random intervals as our own quality control.
We also triple-waterproof the spots where roofs actually leak: valleys, penetrations and eaves. The difference between 90 percent good and 100 percent is huge, so we aim for 110.
As a Malarkey Certified Contractor and IKO RoofPro Select installer, we can also register manufacturer warranties that other contractors in the region can't offer.

We pride ourselves on our transparency. Most things that come up as surprises are stated on the disclaimer, along with the cost: two layers of shingles, shiplap, tarred-down shingles, wood repairs and extra flashing required. It's extremely rare that something outside of scope gets added beyond those things.

The most visually enhancing option you can add. It makes your roof's architecture come to life very noticeably, and with a class 4 impact rating it's the perfect complement to a premium shingle.

How long will my roof replacement take?
Most homes are torn off, sheeted where needed, and fully shingled in one to two days. We never leave a roof exposed overnight, even when the forecast looks perfect.
What if you find rotten wood under my old shingles?
It happens up here, and it's the one thing nobody can see from the ground. That's why possible extra charges, like wood repairs, shiplap, second layers, tarred-down shingles and flashing, are stated on your estimate up front with their cost. No surprise invoices.
What's the difference between the Silver, Gold and Platinum packages?
The difference is in the quality and longevity of the shingle. Chris walks you through all three with zero pressure.
What does the 10-year workmanship warranty cover?
Anything that comes up related to our work, for 10 years after completion. The industry standard is 5. If it's our fault, it's our responsibility to make it right.
