Shingles in the yard? Start with the truth

We replace missing and blown-off shingles across Dawson Creek and the South Peace, usually as a quick, clean repair. Call, and you'll usually hear back the same day with a free assessment to follow.

Here's the story we tell every nervous caller. A homeowner found shingles in her yard and was sure she needed a whole new roof. Chris showed up to start the replacement, looked at the shingles, and saw they were in excellent condition. He explained her roof didn't need replacing and walked away from the money. That's the assessment you're getting: the honest one.

Why they blew off, and why ours don't

Premature shingle failures trace back to poor nailing. High nails, blown-through nails, or too few of them, and the first big gust finds every one. When we repair your roof, replacement shingles go in at our standard: six nails each, placed and set properly, with the work photo-documented as quality control.

If shingles keep leaving and the rest are drying out, that's a different conversation, and we're the only company in the region that can offer every honest option: repair, rejuvenation to restore flexibility and granule grip, or replacement when it's truly time. For out-of-town roofs, we group repair visits into trips. Ask our Tumbler Ridge neighbours.

"You'll never get work you don't actually need, even if I lose out on the sale."
Chris Perez, from our company values

What the repair looks like

Free assessment first

We look at the damaged area and the shingles around it, and tell you honestly whether this is a quick repair or the start of a bigger conversation.

Nothing stays exposed

Open spots get protected right away, so weather doesn't get a second shot at your underlayment and sheathing.

Fixed past code

Replacement shingles go in with six nails each, placed and set properly. That section leaves stronger than the shingles around it.

The honest verdict

Repair, rejuvenation or replacement, quoted straight and with no pressure. If the rest of the roof is fine, that's exactly what we'll say.

Missing shingle questions

A few shingles blew off. Is that serious?

Serious enough to act on. Every missing shingle exposes underlayment and wood to weather, and sheathing rot is far more expensive than a shingle repair. A free assessment gets you a straight answer fast.

Will you try to sell me a new roof instead?

No. Conscience over cash is a core value here. Chris once told a homeowner her roof was in excellent condition and walked away from a replacement she'd already agreed to.

Why do shingles keep coming off the same spot?

Usually nailing. Premature shingle failures trace back to poor nailing, which is why our own standard is six nails per shingle when code asks for four.

What does the repair cost?

You get a clear number after the free assessment and before any work starts. No surprise invoices, ever.
